Mrugendra’s journey with flute started 12 years ago under the guidance his first Guru Ravindra Joshi and since last five years under tutelage of Pt. Rupak Kulkarni. He is a performing artist of Indian classical and semi classical music. After completing masters from College of Engineering, Pune, Mrugendra has turned his passion for music into full time profession. He is now a B grade artist for All India Radio.

Mrugendra's special interest includes making of fusions by using his knowledge in Indian classical music. He has performed at many event as solo and accompanying artist. He has his own band named ‘Sampoorna’, which plays fusion of Indian classical music and Bollywood in a unique style. Apart from his own band, he is also a part of bands like The Earth Magicians and Nair Aunty’s curry, which play Indie – jazz fusions and Indie originals.

Mrugendra has also expanded his career by recording music for various Television series like Balaji Telefilms, Sony TV, Zee Music etc. He has also performed in reality shows like Music Mojo for Kappa TV, Big Golden Voice etc.
